The exhibition at LOKAL in Helsinki will start soon.
It call "Hei Nippon!"

The opening will be on the 30th at 5-7 p.m. - 31.01.-27.03.2013

You are most welcome to join the opening of the Hei Nippon! exhibition, that celebrates the connection between Japan and Finland. Art historian, Marjatta Levanto, acts as the curator of this exhibition.

Hei Nippon! includes a mixture of artists both from Japan and Japanese artists based in Finland. Artists include Fumi Io, Junyong Ju, Akira Kozaka, Akiko Nakatani, Tomoko Kurahara and Satoko Sai, Satoshi Yoshida, Miwa Ishizuka, Yasushi Koyama, Ai Ono Akiyoshi Totoki, Rutsuko Sakata, Yoshimasa Yamada and Masayoshi Oya.

The exhibition will also feature Finnish artists; Johanna Gullichsen, Nathalie Lahdenmäki, Naoto Niidome and Simo Heikkilä, who have a sense of Japanese aesthetics.

The Hei Nippon! exhibition is also partly shared with Common, a Helsinki-based Japanese design and lifestyle shop, that will be featuring a selection of Japanese ceramics by Tomoko Kurahara and Satoko Sai.

Tea will be supplied by Théhuone.
